    2025 Registration

    Welcome to the South Briar Barracudas Swim Team! We're excited for the upcoming swim season and are glad you are part of the team. Please complete the registration form as accurately and completely as possible. You will have an opportunity to review the information at checkout. We request swimmers purchase the team suit and swimmers are required to wear a swim cap and goggles for practices and meets.

    Swim Team Fees: 

    1 (1st) swimmer ages 4 - 14$ 175

    Swimmer ages 15-18$ 85

    Registration fees cover: facility rental and maintenance, swim practices, swim meets, league dues, insurance, equipment, website, awards, events, and Coaching. 

    Each swimmer receives a team t-shirt and 1 swim cap with a paid registration. Additional team shirts may be purchased for $20.

    REFUND POLICY:
    Before May 1: Full refund, less $50 administrative fees

    After May 1: No refunds

    Briar Forest Swim League Code of Conduct

    1. Swimmers are expected to act with good sportsmanship and respect for all swimmers from all teams. Swimmers engaging in unsportsmanlike behavior towards any person may be grounds for dismissal from the team.

    2. Inappropriate behavior by a parent or guardian is not acceptable and may be grounds for expulsion from the team and/or league.

    3. Parents should refrain from discussing another swimmer's performance and is deemed inappropriate.

    4. All swimmers are expected to obey all posted pool safety guidelines and take instruction from the coaches or other team officials during practices and meets. Failure to act in accordance with safety expectations may result in suspension from the team. This applies to our home pool and other league team pools.

    5. Only swimmers, coaches, and authorized team/league personnel are permitted to be in the water during practices and meets. Parents are asked to ensure non-swimming siblings and other children do not enter the pool, including the baby pool.

    6. The South Briar diving well and diving board are off limits during practices, unless instructed otherwise by the coaches.

    7. Please extend courtesy to our community neighbors when parking on the surrounding streets - do not block driveways or mailboxes.

    8. Swimmers will exit the pool when lightning is detected and team officials will monitor active weather concerns to determine if swimmers can return to the water.

    9. Weapons of any kind should not be brought to practices or meets. Swimmers or parents in possession of items deemed as weapons will be asked to leave and may be excluded from participating in future meets.

    • I, AS PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN, HEREBY AUTHORIZE AND GIVE MY PERMISSION FOR MY SWIMMERS TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL ACTIVITIES OF THE SOUTH BRIAR SWIM TEAM AND THE BRIAR FOREST SWIM LEAGUE (BFSL) FOR THE SEASON.
    • I AUTHORIZE OFFICIALS OR COACHES OF THE TEAM OR BFSL TO SEEK EMERGENCY MEDICAL OR SURGICAL TREATMENT AS DEEMED NECESSARY FOR THE CHILD’S SAFETY AND HEALTH.
    • AS A PARENT OR GUARDIAN OF THE PARTICIPANT AND AS A SUPPORTER OF THE TEAM AND BFSL AND IN PARTIAL CONSIDERATION FOR THE USE OF SWIMMING FACILITIES, I AGREE TO FULLY AND COMPLETELY INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS ALL COACHES, TEAM OR LEAGUE OFFICERS, AND POOL OWNERS* (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THEIR AGENTS, OFFICERS, AND DIRECTORS AS WELL AS THEIR CONTRACT OPERATORS), AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, LIABILITIES, AND/OR COSTS OF LEGAL DEFENSES WHATSOEVER AGAINST SUCH CLAIMS, ETC., THAT ARISE FROM ANY TEAM OR BFSL ACTIVITY, INCLUDING PRACTICES AND MEETS. IT IS EXPRESSLY UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED THAT THE OWNERS OF THE POOLS USED IN TEAM AND BFSL ACTIVITIES MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, SUITABILITY OR SAFETY OF SAID POOL FACILITIES.
    • ALL PERSONS AND OR ENTITIES INDEMNIFIED AND HELD HARMLESS HEREUNDER ARE ENTITLED TO FULLY AND COMPLETELY RELY UPON THIS DOCUMENT AS EVIDENCE OF MY AGREEMENT TO THE TERMS DESCRIBED ABOVE. THIS AGREEMENT SHALL REMAIN IN FORCE UNTIL THE LAST DAY OF THE PERIOD ESTABLISHED UNDER LAW FOR BRINGING CLAIMS AGAINST THE PARTIES HERETO INCLUDING POOL OWNERS, THE TEAM, AND BFSL OR UNTIL ANY CLAIMS MADE HEREUNDER ARE FULLY AND COMPLETELY DISCHARGED.

    Swimmer RSVP & Volunteer Sign Up

    South Briar Barracudas swim team is a non-profit organization run by parent volunteers with paid coaches. All parents of participating swimmers are required to volunteer in some capacity over the course of the season. Meets are divided into 2 volunteer shifts

    Monday meets: 2:00pm - 7:00pm (estimated) 

    Saturday meets: 8:00am - 1:00pm (estimated)

    EACH SWIMMER MUST RSVP (DECLARE) TO BE HEATED IN A MEET. 

    Swimmer RSVP and Volunteer Sign Ups are accessible when registration opens. Parents will receive reminder notifications 1 week prior to a scheduled meet to declare and sign up to volunteer.
